Max Robert Nohr, 53, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, of brain cancer. He was born in the Netherlands on May 9, 1946, and lived in Escondido, CA for eight years.

Max received an appointment to the US Naval Academy in 1966 and attended for a semester before he resigned in January 1967. He later earned a BS in Physics in 1982 from San Diego State University. At the time of his death, he was employed by CommQuest.

Max is survived by his wife of five years, Diane Barney of Escondido; mother Miep Nohr of Poway; son Andrew Nohr of Rancho Penasquitos; daughter Melissa Nohr or Rancho Penasquitos; stepdaughter Nicole Barney of Escondido and brother Fred Nohr of Marina.

No services are planned. North County Cremation is handling the arrangements. Mr. Nohr’s cremains will be placed in the niche area of the Oak Hill Memorial Park, Escondido, CA.
